Letter to Jacinda Adern (Summer Learning Journey)
Dear Prime Minister Jacinda Adern
This letter is about letting more refuges into the country. The country they come from does not matter. I believe that all people in the world should feel safe. Although due to Covid 19 it will not be possible to do this yet but please consider it in the future.
There are many countries that have multiple refugees these countries include Turkey, Siria, Iraq, Germany and Sweden. I think that all countries should be helped.
At least 70.8 million people around the world have been forced to flee their homes I believe all these people after horrible and close to death experiences should feel safe be welcome.

The Plot!
Cat and Mouse
The mice have been plotting. . . they had hatched a mischievous plan. . .
Now they where going begin there journey.
“RIGHT! Everyone ready!?” shouted the head mouse, his name was
Sir Joseph he was quite confident for his kind. The crowd of mice cheered as sir joseph spoke. The mice where equipped with camo suites, grappling hooks, spy goggles, walkie talkies and much, much more.
The mice had been waiting for the right time and today was the day. The cat was at the vet so the mice had there chance to finally get to the cheese but they had one, problem the camo suites they had turned them completely invisible so the journey to the fridge was troublesome as they could not see each other but they managed to get there eventually they only had a few issues such as knocking each other down the draws of the kitchen cabinets.
When they reached the fridge door they ran into yet another dilemma they had no idea how to open the giant doors. Then one small mouse spoke up “Lets use the grappling hooks and latch them onto the door then we can pull and they might just open!” Sir Joseph liked the sound of the idea “YOU HEARD THE MOUSE! GET PULLING!” and sure enough they started pulling and pulling and eventually it worked. The group of mice scurried up the different compartments until they reached the dairy section.
“How will we choose?” said one little mouse “theres so much!” said another “TAKE IT ALL!!!!!!” said the third mouse “settle down everyone!” shouted Sir Joseph “ we cant let the humans get to suspicious we cant have them finding out we where here!” the mice nodded in agreement.
Despite the agreement they took almost all the cheese.
Once they returned to the barn they heard the humans arrive, as well as the ferocious cat that had watched there every move since the mice had moved in. That night the mice had a feast as they made another plan.

My Patronus
Hi. Im Ella I’m 16 and I’m guessing you want to know what this story is about. Well to answer that question this story is about me. Now where to begin? One thing you need to know is that I am no ordinary girl.
I woke up to a letter on my bedside table. It had a glob of red wax that had been pushed down to make an imprint of an owl. I opened the letter and found that it was from a wizarding school. Wait a minute… a wizarding school? But there is no such thing as magic! I know strange things have happened in the past but that couldn't of have been magic, could it? I sat up on my bed in disbelief and read further into the letter.
Hello,
We are writing from Hogwarts Wizarding School to inform you that you have been chosen to attend our school. The housing ceremony will be held next Monday, Be ready.

I was so surprised that I straight away pulled out my iPhone and texted my BEST friend Jaxon; he always had good advice.
(Ella) OMG I GOT A LETTER FROM HOGWARTS!
(Jaxon) Omg No Way!
(Ella) EEEEEEEK i'm so happy!
(Jaxon) Ur not gonna believe it. I got one to!
(Ella) OMGGGGGG NO WAY! YOU DID!?!?!?!?
(Jaxon) I hope we are in the same house!
(Ella) OMG YEAH!
(Ella) I HAVE LEGIT NEVER BEEN SO EXITED IN MY LIFE!!!!!! LOL
(Jaxon) Oops sorry i gotta go my mum needs me.
(Ella) ok see ya later wanna come to my place at like 2:30?
(Jaxon) k I’ll be there see ya later!
I turned off my phone and got dressed. I decided to wear a pale yellow singlet and my denim shorts; my fav outfit.
All of a sudden the smell of fresh pancakes entered my room. “PANCAKES!!!!!!!” I shouted as I sprinted into the kitchen.
“Can I have some?” I say quickly. My mum gives my a smirk, “nope”. “Awwwwww Come on!” I whine. “Not until you give me a hug” she replies. “Me too” my baby brother says. I give them both a hug and sit down with five delicious looking pancakes. “So, mum did you put the letter on my bedside table?”
“What letter?” I run into my room and grab the letter “this one” I say as I hand her the letter.
“Hogwarts… why does that ring a bell… oh! The witch craft and wizardry school!” “congrats!” she says “we will have to buy the supplies tomorrow mum” i tell her.
Five and a half hours later
I hear a knock on the door. It’s Jaxon, hes FINALLY here, I rush to open the front door but no one is there. “BOO!” Jaxon leaps out from behind the front of the house to scare me “AAAH!” I scream, “STOP DOING THAT JAXON!” “Fine, fine sorry” he says glumly “anyway SCHOOL!” “You wanna come in or are you just going to stand there?” I say to Jaxon “I guess I will have to come in eventually…” he walks in “so… what do you want to do?” he asks “TRAMPOLINE!” I shout “but I just- “ he starts but I impatiently drag him out the house towards the trampoline.
One week later
The day has come. It’s the day of the Housing Ceremony. Once we arrive at the school we meet up with Jaxon. Now it’s time to be sorted into our houses. Me and Jaxon are sitting next to each other when his name is called, he slowly walks up I can tell he looks pretty nervous as the sorting hat is placed on is head, “Hufflepuff!” the sorting hat declares now I feel even more scared. What if we aren't in the same house? Surprisingly my name is called next I look for Jaxon but he is out of sight, my heart is beating like a drum when the hat is deciding. It’s taking longer than it did for the other witches and wizards but finally the hat decides “Another Hufflepuff!” I let out a sigh of relief. Now I have to find Jaxon. Finally I see him, he’s giving me a thumbs up. I run toward him and he gives me a high five.
Two weeks later
“For todays lesson we will be learning how to summon our patronuses” says our teacher. “Now all line up” he says. I’m first in line so he calls me up “how do I do it? I ask, confused. “Well all you have to do is think of your happiest memory” he replies. “Ok got it” I say as I close my eyes. “Now think of your happiest memory and it should work” he says. I do what he says and flash of blue light appears in front of me. “You can open you eyes now Ella”, I hear him say. I slowly open one eye and then the other and I see a bright blue meerkat sitting next to my feet, it gives me a look and then disappears.
After classes me and Jaxon walk up to our house and head to our separate rooms to put away our spell books, then we head down to the hall for dinner. We meet up at the entrance to the hall and sit down next to each other. First we eat our dinner and then comes dessert, which I LOVE. I eat my ice cream and we head up to our rooms and get changed. We have a bit of spare time so we go to the second hall and play go fish and other games. I won most of the games - Jaxon was pretty bad to be fair but I was bad at some of the games too. Although that didn’t stop me from winning. Soon it was time for bed so me and Jaxon, for the third time that day went to our rooms, and got ready for bed and then I said good night to Jaxon and went to bed
